Kathmandu, 13 May 2025 – In a landmark meeting today, **Education Minister Raghu Ji Pant** assured immediate action to resolve the protracted No Objection Certificate (NOC) crisis, following intensive discussions with a joint delegation from the **Korean Educational Consultancy Association of Nepal (KECAN)** and **FECE Nepal**. The delegation included KECAN’s Immediate President Ganesh Sharma, Acting President Shashi Prasad Bhattarai, General Secretary Naresh Prasad Sendai, alongside FECE Nepal President Rajendra Baral, Executive Vice President Sesh Raj Bhattarai, Vice Presidents Hemanta Bhattarai and Basudev Nepal, and General Secretary Uddhav Bahadur Khadka.
Minister Pant announced the formation of a **specialized committee** mandated to submit actionable recommendations *within two months* to streamline NOC processes. Crucially, he confirmed: *“All students who submitted NOC applications by 10th May 2025 will receive their certifications promptly once the committee finalizes its review protocols.”* This decision directly addresses months of administrative delays impacting thousands of Nepali students pursuing higher education in South Korea.
The ministry’s commitment marks a turning point in Nepal’s educational diplomacy, with stakeholders hailing it as a critical step toward restoring institutional trust and safeguarding academic futures.
